November is known as Men’s Health Month and as a sign of support the male staff have been participating in the Movember cause. For those who are not familiar, in the month of November, men across the world grow their mustaches to raise awareness for Men’s health, and to promote early detection of Prostate, and Testicular cancer, and to offer support to those who dealing with mental health and suicide prevention. As a community, we decided to raise money to donate to the Movember cause on behalf of the Grand View community. We saw it as a meaningful cause to support as many families, both staff, and community are in some way touched by the growing issue of men’s health. If you would like any further information please feel free to research https://ca.movember.com/about/foundation.

If you would like to take part in this fundraising (which is not mandatory at all!) then please send in loose change and no more than a loonie or toonie.  We will be having an assembly on Monday where the teachers will be shaving off their mustaches and taking about the cause.  Please contact the school if you would like further information.
