Grand View Public School recently hosted a STEM night (science technology, engineering and mathematics) with several activities for students and teachers to enjoy and engage with!

The evening of creative building included tablets with games; five-minute towers; circuit boards; online architecture with blocks; bricks, paint and so much more. When you’re done, you can use a camera to see what it would look like if you built it in real life.

On the tablet, there was a monster with a puzzle game where you had to connect the magnets to the bottom of the tablet. If you did it right, then the monster would move without you even touching the screen.

The five-minute tower is when you build a tower with straw and connectors in five minutes. When the five minutes is up, the people running the activity test your tower. There were also Nintendo Switches that vibrated, made noise and even moved!

Near the entrance, staff and students were selling popcorn and hot chocolate. STEM night is a night students and teachers will remember for a long time.

Over half the school came, and there was a huge lineup outside the door because so many people were standing there waiting for STEM night to begin. There were lots of teachers inside greeting students and their parents.
